Service Description
Zen Name is a personal kanji naming experience. A monk selects a name based on the story you provide. This is a cultural service, not a religious conversion.
Orders & Payment
All orders are placed through our website. Prices are shown in JPY and include applicable tax. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments.
Delivery
Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks after order. Plans that include physical items may take an additional 1–2 weeks.
Intellectual Property
The brushwork and calligraphy files are delivered for personal use (including tattoos and private display). Commercial redistribution requires written consent.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the price paid for the product.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
Preview Step
Before final production, we send you the kanji, its reading, and its meaning for review.
Revisions
If there are errors in notation or a significant gap between your intention and the result, we will consult the monk and make adjustments as needed.
Non-Refundable Work
Once the monk has begun selecting your name, refunds are generally not available. Zen Name is a personal, individually chosen service — not a standard customizable product. Free changes based solely on personal preference are not guaranteed.
Cancellation
You may cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of order, provided the naming has not yet begun.

Delivered by email worldwide. No physical shipping required.
LEGACY Edition (Physical)
Hanging scroll and framed brushwork ship from Japan by tracked international mail.
Shipping Costs
LEGACY shipping is quoted after purchase based on destination. We will email you an invoice for shipping before production begins.
Transit Times
Typical international transit is 7–14 business days after dispatch. Customs clearance may add additional time.
Customs & Duties
Any import duties, taxes, or customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient.
Unsupported Countries
If your country is not listed at checkout, please reach out — we welcome inquiries from every region and respond individually.
